“Fifty Shades Of Grey” is one of the most highly-anticipated films announced this year, and after all the controversy surrounding the producers’ casting choices, people start buzzing every time a new actor is added to the cast. After “Sons Of Anarchy” star Charlie Hunnam took the role of Christian Grey, then backed out after a huge wave of backlash came his way (he says he was forced to leave the part due to filming schedules), model Jamie Dornan stepped up to the task.

Now, singer Rita Ora has been added as Mia, Grey’s adopted sister. Ora announced the big news on Twitter on Monday, saying she had officially been added to the cast, which already consists of Luke Grimes, Eloise Mumford, Victor Rasuk, Max Martini and Jennifer Ehle.

The film just started production but has been making headlines for months, partly due to casting choices–not everyone is happy with Dakota Johnson playing the role of Anastasia Steele–and partly due to rumors and setbacks. Because Hunnam backed out, producers wanted a little more time to get Dornan acquainted with the role, so the summer of 2014 release date was pushed to Valentine’s Day of 2015. The cameras are rolling now, however, and photos from the set have already leaked.

Of course, the filmmakers took into account the other films they would be up against in the summer–including “Guardians of the Galaxy”–when they were making the decision to push back the release.

“We see this movie as a global event,” Universal Pictures chairman Donna Langley said. “The strength of this book is really worldwide, so we want to be able to take advantage of women who are invariably on vacation with their families during the month of August in Europe.”
