Nelson Mandela was an influential man. He was a South African anti-apartheid revolutionary who became imprisoned. Then later in his life, he became a philanthropist, serving as the President of South Africa. Mandela was the first black African American to be an elected official. He lived a life of struggle, hard work and dedication. Mandela passed away yesterday, Dec. 5, 2013.
Not only did Mandela leave behind a family, he left behind many dedicated followers and admirers.
Beyoncé was one of the many celebs who wished Mandela’s legacy goodbye via social Media.
Along with Beyoncé, reality star, Khloé Kardashian payed tribute to Mandela.
Other stars took to Twitter to show their respect of the hero.

Mandela lived to be 95-years-old. His legacy will live on.
