Lea Michele’s debut album “Louder” will be released on March 4, 2014. Lea is best known for her role as “Rachel Berry” on Fox Television’s popular series Glee, but has ventured out on her own to record music. The album will include the single “Cannonball,” which she will perform for the first time on the The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Thursday.
Although this will be Lea’s debut solo album, she is no stranger to recording music or selling albums. The Glee cast recordings have sold over 10 million singles. Over 20 of these singles have made it on the top 40 US Billboard Hot 100 hits.
Lea says that she is particularly excited about releasing her album because it shows fans a different side of her and lets her express what her life has been like over the last few months. She expressed her excitement for her album and new single on her twitter account.

“LOUDER really encompasses my experiences over this past year and my journey as an artist up to this point,” said Lea Michele. “There’s a lot of emotion but it’s also very encouraging and hopeful—it’s about pushing forward and living your life in a way that’s louder, stronger and bolder. I’m so excited to share this new side of me with my fans.”
