The official trailer for the new Godzilla film has finally arrived. It is filled with excitement and promise as an exciting remake, but do audiences really need another remake of a film like Godzilla?
The trailer was released earlier today after it was announced that it would be leaked online in anticipation of the new, big-budget film. The dangerous monster known for attacking Japan has not been seen on the big screen since 1998, when the giant monster became a craze once again.
Due to all of the technological advancements that have been made since the last production of Godzilla, this film will certainly be much different than all of those that came before it. Audiences will now be able to see a futuristic film with tons of special effects like never before, and a healthy dose of quality actors along for the ride as well.
Saw the trailer for Godzilla. Was more psyched about the 10 seconds of Bryan Cranston than the GIANT MONSTER LIZARD. Not a good sign…

The 1998 version was a bit of a disappointment, but perhaps the new film will be able to revive the franchise, and become a big hit at the box office. Fans of the beloved monster are fearing for the worst with the next film, but it could surprise people. While the trailer does not offer much in the way of plot, it is clear that Godzilla has had enough of Japan, and has decided to destroy San Francisco instead.

The film features a cast of some of the hottest actors around that is sure to lure some people in. It includes Bryan Cranston, who is just coming off of the end of the beloved Breaking Bad, Aaron Taylor-Johnson from Kickass, Elizabeth Olsen, who has appeared in several films over the past couple of years, and Sally Hawkins, who was just seen in Blue Jasmine.
The Godzilla trailer looks more than legit. Plus a crying Bryan Cranston. Looking forward to it!

In addition, veteran actors David Strathairn and Juliette Binoche are involved in the epic ensemble cast that should work wonders to draw in audiences.
Godzilla will be wreaking havoc on the world starting with its release date on May 16, 2014.
