Back in the summer, Facebook launched embeddable posts. Last month, the company began rolling out new Like and Share buttons:
Facebook has some news related to both of these announcements.
Embeddable posts are now customizable. You can now set the width at anything between 330 and 740. Also, on mobile, embedded posts are automatically scaled to the width of the container.
The new buttons are now rolling out to everybody, so if they haven’t appeared on your site yet, they should very soon.
The company also shared a little data related to the new buttons.
“In early tests over the past month after launching the new Like and Share buttons, we’ve seen more than a 5% lift in Likes and Share across the web,” says Facebook’s Ray C. He. “This is significant, given that both buttons are viewed over 22 billion times daily. Based on these results, we’ve rolled out the new design to everyone and extended it to the Follow and Like Box plugins as well.”
It just so happens that Shareaholic put out a report this week also finding that Facebook referrals have been helped tremendously by the new buttons.
