Hall & Oates’ fans can be happy today as the legendary group joins five others, including Nirvana as inductees into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. They will be officially sworn in come April 10, 2014.
For fans, Hall and Oates was a different type of group. Coming from Pennsylvania, Daryl Hall and John Oates met in a band competition. Upon realizing they both like the same type of music, they decided to form a band together.
For those not familiar with their brand, it’s been stated it’s a “blue-eyed soul” style. A term used referencing white performers performing music in a rhythm and blues or soul style. Some of the groups greatest hits includes: “Maneater”, “Sarah Smiles”, “Private Eyes” and the iconic “I Can’t Go For That (No Can Do)”.
Fan reaction on twitter is extremely happy about this news.

Hall & Oates was not too concerned about getting into the hall as shown here:
Even though the group said they did not care about getting in, I’m sure they are glad their fans had a say in that. This year’s inductees were voted on by fans. It appears the fans got this one right.
