Early in 2013 Konami released Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance for consoles. Breaking away from the traditional “tactical espionage action” of the mainline Metal Gear Solid series, Revengeance is a fast-paced hack ‘n slash starring controversial series character Raiden.

Today Konami finally announced the release date for the PC version of Revengeance: January 9.

The PC version of the game will include all of the DLC already released for console versions – “Blade Wolf,” “Jetstream,” and “VR Missions.” Add-on armors and skins for the game will also be included in the package.

In addition to the already-released content and the requisite graphical upgrades coming to Revengeance‘s on PC, the game will also feature a few new options. Players will now be able to access both codecs and cutscenes from the game’s main menu, allowing them to go back and parse through the story at their own pace. There will also be a chapter select option that allows players to skip straight to boss battles.

In conjunction with the release date announcement, Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance is one of the first daily deals on Valve’s Steam Holiday Sale, which began today. Players looking to grab the title on PC can pre-order it for 33% off ($20) for the next two days.
