As the old saying goes, “absence makes the heart grow fonder.” This must be true for television personality Kris Jenner and her husband Bruce Jenner. The couple recently announced their separation, and that they were living in separate homes. However, during a recent interview, Kris said that she and Bruce are “such good friends.”
“We’re great. He’s great and I’m great and we’re such good friends,” Kris said in an interview during the #cirocthenewyear anti drinking and driving pledge party on Tuesday. “Sometimes people are just better apart and have better energy.”
The couple hasn’t gone as far as filing for divorce, but claim they are much happier being separated. “We don’t bicker as much,” she said. “We were starting to sound like some old sitcom from the ’50s. I listened to myself and didn’t like me. Everyone is happier.” Does that include all six kids? Apparently the kids are happier now that the fighting has ceased. “The kids are great,” she said. “They notice the difference and how the energy in the house has shifted and how great everyone is.”
“We are better people and happier just spending time apart than we are spending time together. We decided this was best for our family. We came to a place where this isn’t healthy, the way we were treating each other,” Kris explained when they announced their separation. “I was so blessed to meet Bruce Jenner,” she continued. “I adore Bruce. Bruce and I are and will remain best friends. We’re just separated, we’re not divorcing. And what happens in life is that we are better people and happier spending time apart than together. This is the best for our situation and we’re keeping it real tight and private. It’s just what we need to do right now.”
Now, Kris has revealed that she actually looks forward to seeing Bruce. For those of you who watch the families reality television show Keeping up with the Kardashians, you know that Bruce tended to get on Kris’ nerves quite often. So, when she says she is excited to see him, it must mean that things really have changed. “Bruce came over last night because he just had to see the tree again! It’s really fun. I get so excited during the holidays,” she said. “I get excited when he’s coming over. We enjoy seeing each other more now.”
