Miley Cyrus doesn’t defend herself often. She’s more of a “I do what I want” kind of girl. When Joe Jonas accused Miley and Demi Lovato of pressuring him to smoke weed, Miley let it slide for a while. Apparently she decided she couldn’t let him get away with such an accusation and had few things to say about it.

She told The New York Times, “If you want to smoke weed, you’re going to smoke weed. There’s nothing that two little girls are going to get you to do that you don’t want to do.”

So why would Joe Jonas feel the need to throw Miley and Demi under the bus by talking about something that happened several years ago? Well, Joe Jonas hasn’t been in the spotlight much now that the Jonas Brothers band is broken up. Miley on the other hand, can’t seem to stay out of the media. Could Joe have been trying to steal some of the attention by linking himself to Miley?

Even if that is the case, it isn’t likely to hold Miley back, especially now that she appears to have a new boy toy to keep her busy. Miley was recently seen with Kellan Lutz at the opening of Beacher’s Madhouse in Las Vegas on Friday and also shared a private jet. Kellan is the star of the upcoming film The Legend of Hercules.

Miley and Kellan haven’t confirmed that they are in a relationship, and Kellan is a little shy compared to Miley. According to witnesses at the club opening, Miley continued to try to get Kellan to dance with her and would pull him close to her often. Although the two seem to be getting comfortable with each other, a source close to Miley says that they are not a couple.

What do you think about Joe Jonas’s accusations and Miley’s new boy toy?
