Fans are getting to see famed actress Jessica Chastain in a different light these days. She isn’t tracking down terrorists in search of al Qaeda’s infamous leader this time, but she is putting her archery expertise to use.

According to US Magazine, the Oscar-nominated actress is playing ‘dress up’ for a new Disney Park advertising campaign. Chastain will be transforming into the 3D- animated princess Merida from Disney’s Brave film, which was released in 2012.

The Disney advertisement campaign captures the stunning redhead beauty in Merida’s signature green and gold velvet dress. Chastain is pictured riding horseback with a bow and arrow, preparing to take aim. The captivating portrait will be included in Disney’s ‘Dream Portrait’ gallery, which was founded in 2007.

On the day before Disney released the campaign, Chastain sat down with Entertainment Tonight to share her take on the Disney experience. “I definitely see her as a modern princess. She’s headstrong, she’s funny, she has great passions,” Chastain said of notable photographer Annie Leibovitz’s vision for the animated look.

“She’s a great role model for young girls.” Chastain explained that she and Leibovitz collaborated on some details for the campaign to bring the image to life. She also went on to share that she enjoyed the ‘fun’ experience. USA Today also shared a number of behind the scenes shots of Chastain and Leibovitz’s collaborative effort during the photo-shoot for the campaign.

Other notable stars who have participated in the Disney campaign series include:

Jennifer Hudson as Princess Tiara of The Princess and The Frog,  Scarlett Johansson as Cinderella, Queen Latifah in the role of Ursula from The Little Mermaid, actress Olivia Wilde’s also portrayed the Queen in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Jessica Biel as Pocahontas and David Beckham as the dashing Prince Phillip in Sleeping Beauty.

The advertisement campaign, which is entitled, Where Your Destiny Awaits, will appear in the February 2014 issue of O Magazine.
