Update: It looks like shooting will continue for at least a couple more weeks. The show reportedly has a casting call out for extras for shooting through February 6th.

The second season of Netflix’s much-loved Orange is the New Black appears to be close to finishing shooting.

Actor Matt McGorry shared this via Instagram, saying, “Suiting up as John Bennett for my last scene of #oitnb season 2. #ImAWeirdo FYI again- this is NOT a spoiler and indicates nothing about plot or when the show will be released (which noone knows the answer to).”

In the caption to this one, he appears to indicate the actual season is wrapping (as opposed to just his scenes): “Wrapping season 2 of #oitnb today!”

As he said, we don’t have a firm release date for the second season yet, but the first one premiered in July, so it stands to reason that we’ll be seeing it around then, but you never know.

The official OITNB account shared this one a couple days ago, saying, “It’s @sheisdash’s last day on set for season 2.”

The second season of Netflix’s House of Cards is due out on February 14h. Its first season was also released in February. The second season of Netflix’s Hemlock Grove (which came out between HoC and OITNB) is also in the works.
