Kelly Clarkson announced the sex of her baby today and said she was totally right: it’s a girl.
The 31-year old singer called it when she said several weeks ago that only a girl could cause so much drama…in the form of unending morning sickness.
“We just found out we’re having a girl officially! I knew it! Only a girl could cause this much drama with all this vomiting ha!” she tweeted.
Clarkson suffered from the illness so badly during the early stages of her pregnancy that she had to cancel several appearances and ended up going public with the baby news sooner than she wanted. When asked by Savannah Guthrie whether she was feeling alright, Clarkson answered honestly.
“Nope. I don’t know why they call it morning sickness. That’s my big joke right now because it’s all day and all night. I am super-excited about being pregnant, though. I’m just looking forward to the second trimester . . . they say it’s better,” she said.
Clarkson, who just hit the 4-month mark, still has a while to go but says she and husband Brandon Blackstock already have a name picked out. As far as the sickness, she’ll be glad when it subsides.
“I vomit a dozen times a day. It’s like bad. I vomited before coming out here,” she said last month on the Ellen DeGeneres Show. “It’s so bad. It’s, like, so gross. You’re not attractive when you’re pregnant. Everybody tells you [that] you glow and your hair is pretty and your nails are pretty. That’s total crap.”
