Wendy Williams became pretty emotional on her talk show Monday. The 49-year-old TV host opened up to the audience about her relationship with her 13-year-old son.
The topic that led to her emotional moment was about Madonna and a controversial Instagram photo she posted of her son.
On the caption of the picture Madonna wrote: “No one messes with Dirty Soap! Mama said knock you out! #disn***a.”
Madonna’s use of the “n” word, of course, has been the talk of the town. Although she’s issued an apology via her Facebook Page it seems that this will yet again turn into a racial debate like any other episode where a celebrity has used the word; like Paula Deen for instance.
However, that is beside the point, so back to the weeping celebrity “gossiper.”
Instead of Williams actually addressing the debatable topic at hand, she turned around to view the photo projected behind her and immediately started tearing up.
“First of all, I want you to know, Rocco is 13 years old and Rocco is a real fan of his mother. What I discovered this weekend is that my son doesn’t like me anymore,” she said on the show.
She went on to explain how her son, Kevin, criticizes her “pissy” attitude. Yet, William clearly defends her own self by mentioning how he is a teenager going through the usual phase of puberty.
As she wiped away tears, Williams shared with her audience how her son and husband, Kevin Hunter, spend time together while she’s left out of their plans.
“He’s all into his father. You know how 13-year-olds are. I was the same way when I was 13, but it is breaking my heart.”
The whole thing sounds a bit like jealousy, eh?
Nevertheless, William completely switches up her feelings towards being an outcast by speaking something positive about Kevin’s close relationship with his father.
“At this time, I can’t understand men who disappear from their kids’ lives,” she said. “Thank God he has his buddy and father.”
Williams even subtly mentioned to the audience that she doesn’t have her period, which could indicate that she is going through menopause. Well, that would DEFINITELY explain her little break down on national TV.
