If this recent incident has taught us anything, it is that you do not mess with Quentin Tarantino.

After a script for his new film was leaked early, he has refused to go through with the film, and fans will not be able to see what he has been working on.

The critically acclaimed and fan favorite director recently announced that his next film would be a western, and it had been given the title of The Hateful Eight.

He has publicly talked in the past about his love for the western genre, and previously enjoyed success with Django Unchained, which even received Oscar nominations.

However, he will not be going through with the project after what happened with the script. Tarantino is not sure of who leaked the script, but he has able to narrow it down to only a few people who would have had access.

The film was set to star Tim Roth, Bruce Dern, Christoph Waltz and Michael Madsen, although others were likely to be added as well as Quentin Tarantino is known for creating all-star casts for his films.

He said in a recent interview with frustration over the situation, “I give it out to six people, and if I can’t trust them to that degree, then I have no desire to make it. I’ll publish it. I’m done. I’ll move on to the next thing. I’ve got 10 more where that came from.”

One thing fans can know is not coming from their beloved Quentin Tarantino is another film in the Kill Bill franchise, as he shot down those rumors completely during another interview recently.

He further said “The one I know didn’t do this is Tim Roth. One of the others let their agent read it, and that agent has now passed it on to everyone in Hollywood.” The only other actors who had seen the script were Michael Madsen and Bruce Dern, and in addition to them and Django Unchained producer Reggie Hudlin, two other unnamed people had been given access.

Quentin Tarantino believes that it was one of the actors’ agents that leaked the script, specifically citing Dern’s rep at CAA as a possible culprit. He also said that he hopes this incident will cause reps and actors to be more discreet.

He was betrayed as a filmmaker, and more than having his screenplay leaked for others to see, the important thing for him as a director was the way in which he was mistreated at such an early part in the process.

For fans looking forward to seeing Quentin Tarantino’s upcoming The Hateful Eight, he said it may still come at some point in the future since he is able to change his mind, but the one thing that is certain is that it will not be his next film.
