Actor Owen Wilson has several major film projects underway, but he has one key life event happening right now. He became a father again this week.

On Thursday, Jan 30, 2014, personal trainer Caroline Lindqvist gave birth to her first son with Wilson. These new parents do not plan to date or marry, but they will equally play a part in raising their son. US Weekly first broke the news of Lindqvist’s pregnancy in October.

A source close to Wilson told the magazine that “Owen is very involved with the pregnancy. He isn’t in a relationship with Caroline, nor do they plan to be in one, but he is very supportive of everything. They see each other and talk often about what they want for the child. Owen is very open-minded about everything and has told Caroline he will do whatever he can.”

Also in October, another source told E! Online that “she [Lindqvist] is just happy that Owen is helping her out any way that he can.” Wilson has apparently been very supportive towards Lindqvist, and they have a cooperative relationship for their child. Lindqvist and Wilson often had dinners together to discuss their- then unborn-son’s future. He’s showed interest in going to doctor’s appointments and attending ultrasounds.

Lindqvist and Wilson have known one another for several years; they met when she became his personal trainer. When Lindqvist’s pregnancy was announced, she was in the process of divorcing her plastic surgeon husband.

This is Wilson’s second child. He has a 2-year old son, Robert Ford, with ex-girlfriend Jade Duell. The couple was still dating when she became pregnant with their child. Wilson very much takes an active role in Ford’s life. He even expressed his excitement about being a new parent to Jay Leno shortly after his first son’s birth.

Wilson’s next major film projects include Night at the Museum 3, The Coup, Inherent Vice, Squirrels to the Nuts and The Grand Budapest Hotel.
