The Super Bowl is known for it’s entertaining commercials. While this specific ad isn’t for the latest stye of beer bottle or headphones, this ad does offer something many of the other commercials don’t.
The commercial starts with a close-up shot of U2’s Bono singing for a packed crowd. Turns out, the commercial isn’t only a preview of an awesome performance but an ad for their latest song, “Invisible.”
U2’s song “Invisible” is currently available for free download on iTunes. That’s right-free.The song’s release coincides with the band’s partnership with (RED), through which Bank of America will donate $1 for every song downloaded to the Global Fund.
Global fund works to fight AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria and was co-founded by U2 frontman Bono.
While “Invisible isn’t the first single off their upcoming 13th studio album, the band is still excited to share the song with fans.
“We have another song we’re excited about to kick off the album,” Bono said. “This is just sort of a sneak preview — to remind people we exist.”
