The Super Bowl ended horrifically for the Denver Broncos, but some of their fans, in their honor, scored big. For example, Broncos’ fan Kate Upton may have reunited with an old flame while celebrating the Super Bowl.

On Friday, January 31, Upton attended the 2014 GQ Super Bowl party, and received more than a gift bag. Guests of the event saw her getting cozy with her rumored ex-boyfriend Detroit Tigers Pitcher Justin Verlander. The two have never confirmed a relationship, but have denied dating rumors since January 2013. In February 2013, rumors surfaced that they ended their romance. Then she officially started dating Dancing with the Stars’ dancer Maksim Chmerkovskiy in June of the same year. Chmerkovskiy and Upton ended their romance six months later in December. Now with Upton recently single, new rumors about Verlander and her courtship have emerged. They still deny any romance rumors.

However, their actions at the GQ Super Bowl party won’t help prove their case. They posed for some public pictures together, and they got more intimate when the cameras weren’t on them. According to E! Online, the pair was seen holding hands, dancing and getting a little affectionate.

When she wasn’t with Verlander, Upton still cut loose. She tossed off her heels-replacing them with hotel slippers-and danced around with some of her friends. Party attenders reported Upton as being “friendly and humble” to all everyone around her.  She stayed at the party until 1:30am.

Upton told E! Online that she was rooting for “The Broncos” to win the Super Bowl, because “my parents are from there and I love horses.”

There is no denying that the Broncos lost last night’s Super Bowl game, but Upton can continue to deny her romance with Verlander. Maybe this is the year that the rumored couple will finally at least admit they know each other.
