The first rumors surrounding Brock Lesnar’s return to the UFC started back in December, and remained quiet, until January, when UFC president Dana White didn’t deny them. While many hoped to see the former heavyweight champion return to the UFC octagon, White has finally put the rumors to rest stating that Lesnar will NOT be coming back to fight.

White addressed the rumors during the UFC 169 post-fight press conference in Newark, New Jersey, on Saturday, revealing that the UFC does not have a deal with Lesnar and that they didn’t expect him to return anytime soon. “No, Brock Lesnar is not coming back,” White said. “Brock Lesnar is not fighting. Does he want to come back? We’ve talked about him wanting to come back.”

“He feels like he wasn’t 100-percent while he was here,” White continued. “He feels like he sold himself a little short, and all the stuff that I’ve told you before. But no, he’s not. We have no deal with Brock Lesnar. He’s not coming back anytime soon.”

Despite Alistair Overeem calling him out after his win during UFC 169, it has been confirmed that he will not be taking on the challenge. “I heard there’s word that Brock Lesnar is coming back to the UFC. Well, I’ll be here waiting for him,” Overeem said.

Overeem was the last opponent that Lesnar fought in the UFC. The referee stopped their fight during the first round on Dec. 30, 2011.

During his time with the UFC, Lesnar fought a different battle with Diverticulitis, an intense stomach disease. Before his fight with Overeem, Lesnar had surgery to remove over a foot of his colon.

Lesnar later retired, after losing to Overeem, and currently has a contract with the WWE, and will remain with them until at least 2015, including WrestleMania 31.
