Singer Colbie Caillat appeared on The TODAY Show on Tuesday, singing her single Hold On. Following her performance she chatted with Hoda Kotb and Kathie Lee Gifford–but she stopped by the NBC Orange Room first, to talk about her amazing haute couture a la designer Stella McCartney.

Colbie’s stunning black dress featured a sexy lace overlay and was accessorized by a long fringe necklace that further enhanced the look.

“I’m a vegetarian vegan, so I don’t wear animal products at all. It’s been almost four years (as a vegan),” she said.

Stella McCartney, daughter of Paul McCartney and the late Linda McCartney, grew up vegan. That definitely lends itself to her being Colbie Caillat’s favorite fashion designer.

“Stella McCartney is a main influence for me because her clothes are high-end but they’re vegan,” she said. “She makes amazing shoes, boots, coats, heels, everything that are vegan, animal friendly and they’re amazing, high-end fashion.”

Colbie Caillat was no doubt excited about her TODAY Show appearance, and she tweeted about her chat with Kathie Lee and Hoda following her stint on the show.

Colbie Caillat debuted on the music scene back in 2007 with her hit album Coco. From that album she realized two huge hit singles–Bubbly (known as her debut hit song) and Realize. Possibly the best thing Caillat has ever done is sing with Jason Mraz. The two recorded the hit song Lucky which won them a Grammy Award in 2008.

It’s been a while since Colbie has graced the top of the music charts but with songs like Hold On it’s expected everyone will be seeing and hearing a lot more from the singer. And with her fine taste in fashion, who knows where she might soon pop up again. When you wear Stella McCartney designs you tend to get noticed no matter where you go.
