Amanda Bynes has been working hard to clean up her act since coming home from rehab last year. Bynes was treated for schizophrenia after several run ins with the law. Bynes was released from rehab last December and has been living with her parents while trying to get her life back on track.
She got some good news in court this week when her attorney was able to get her charge of driving under the influence dropped to a lesser charge of alcohol-related reckless driving. Bynes plead no contest to the lesser charge and was sentenced to three years of probation. The judge also ordered her to attend three months of alcohol education classes.
“She’s doing very well. This case took some unexpected turns, but it’s resolved. Everything is going just like it should,” said Bynes’ attorney.
Bynes was recently given some strict rules by a different judge in regards to her bong tossing case. The judge told Bynes that if she was able to stay out of trouble for at least 6 months and go to counseling as directed, her bong tossing case would be dropped.
So far Bynes has managed to stay out of trouble and seems to be keeping to herself. If her court cases continue to go in her favor, Bynes may be able to get her life back on track and not have to worry about jail time.
It seems like rehab has really helped Bynes and although she will likely stay on probation for several years, it looks like she is trying her best to get back to her old self again. Bynes’ mother has been placed in charge of her financial and legal affairs and recent photos show that Bynes is spending a lot of time with her parents, doing simple things like taking walks and grocery shopping. Maybe all she needed was a fresh start.
Do you think Amanda Bynes will get her life back together or will she find herself in more trouble?
