Aaron Paul says he is ready and willing to appear on the “Breaking Bad” spinoff “Better Call Saul”, which premieres in November on AMC.
The actor said recently that he’s spoken with Vince Gilligan, the creator of both shows, about coming back as Jesse Pinkman. The upside to that is, he’ll be doing it in a prequel, so he can further explore Jesse’s past as a small-time drug dealer and maybe even dig deeper into what caused the rift between him and his parents.
“Anything Vince is involved with, I’m there,” Paul said. “I owe him my entire career. And the idea of jumping into the skin of Jesse Pinkman again in his lighter days — because it’s all a prequel — it would be fun.”
Gilligan has already said he wants to bring back some of the characters from “Breaking Bad” to interact with Bob Odenkirk, who will star once more as “criminal” lawyer Saul Goodman. Although Dean Norris (Hank Schrader) has said he’s not interesting in returning, it’s possible we’ll see Bryan Cranston fill Walter White’s shoes again as he hasn’t been ruled out.
“I think that experience was that experience. I’m not a big fan of kind of revisiting something that has already been done. But I think it’s going to be awesome. So I can’t wait to see it,” Norris said.
Paul is currently promoting his new film “Need For Speed” and will be hosting a WWE match in Chicago on March 3.
