Brooke Burke-Charvet opened up today on “Good Morning America” about her surprising termination from “Dancing With The Stars”, saying that finding out she’d been let go just a few weeks before the show’s premiere was “shocking”.
“The only shocking thing about it, really, is the way that it went down. Finding out just several weeks before the premiere was a little bit tough, but I’m good. I’m happy,” she said.
The former host announced the news on her Twitter account, shocking her fans and fans of the show.
weird day….Shocking pre-season elimination #DWTS…ME. @Tom_Bergeron didn't even read my name. I won't be returning to the show this season.

Dancer and choreographer Cheryl Burke said she was shocked to learn the news and that it feels like the team has lost a member of their family.
“It’s like your brother or your sister leaving,” Burke said. “It was hard for me to take it all in. It still is, a little bit.”
However, some people–like Peta Murgatroyd–think that change can be a good thing, especially when it comes to bringing in ESPN reported Erin Andrews to take over hosting duties.
“I think Brooke did an amazing job, but the show is going through such a revamp right now. They’ve gotten rid of the band, as well as Harold Wheeler, and they’ve replaced it with a small electric band,” Murgatroyd said. “But I think Erin is kind of like the girl next door. She’s going to do like great sort of sit-down chitchat interviews. She’s very relatable. She’s very kind-hearted and she’s done the competition as well, so she knows what it’s all about.”
