A tourism agency in Wisconsin used what is quite possibly the best travel reference ever recently in a new ad: “Airplane”, as done by two of its stars, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Robert Hays.

The ad got some help from the classic film’s directors, the Zucker brothers, who are from Wisconsin and wanted to have a hand in it.

“We (the Zuckers) love Wisconsin. My joke with my wife is had we really loved our children, we would have raised them in Wisconsin. Wisconsin is a big part of who we are and why we’ve been successful,” Jerry Zucker said last year.

This isn’t the first ad the Zuckers have done for Wisconsin tourism; Jerry shot an ad last fall with Green Bay Packer Jordy Nelson while brother David was working on “Scary Movie 5″.

“I like to tell people it was just too much for him to handle,” Jerry joked when asked about taking over directing duties.
