Pop star Katy Perry may have sung about kissing a girl in the past, but now she’s singing a different tune.

When Miley Cyrus tried to give Perry a long and deep kiss during one of Cyrus’ Bangerz shows, the Dark Horse singer wasn’t having it, and said she had no idea Cyrus would try that.

Perry said she merely wanted to greet Cyrus and give her a friendly hello, but things didn’t work out that way.

“I just walked up to her to give her like a friendly girly kiss, you know, as girls do,” explained Perry. “And then she like tried to move her head and go deeper and I pulled away.”

Apparently, Cyrus’ newly found sexual image has worked against her with Perry, and she was kind of grossed out the young pop singer would attempt to kiss her, she said. “God knows where that tongue has been,” said the brunette singer. “We don’t know. That tongue is so infamous.”

And Perry is right. Cyrus’ tongue has been a huge part of her act ever since she first stuck it out at the MTV Video Music Awards last year, and it’s really gotten on a lot of people’s nerves, namely one of her best friends Kelly Osbourne.

While critiquing what Cyrus was wearing at the MTV awards show, Osbourne begged her to keep her tongue in her mouth and said she thought her friend looked very silly.

As far as Perry’s comments about kissing Cyrus, it appeared to all be tongue and cheek– and yes, pun very much intended–because the two are actually close chums. In fact, the Wrecking Ball singer has promised to help Perry get over John Mayer, as it’s been rumored the two have split.

“Miley has already talked to Katy, and told her she has a list of hot guys to set her up with,” said a Yahoo News source. “Miley thinks Katy is so hot, plus she knows how hard breakups can be. She wants to help Katy and she thinks Katy needs to get right back on the horse.”
