Mr. Feeny’s return to television may be the most talked about Girl Meets World cameo, but it may not be for long. The Girl Meets World cast welcomed a couple of Boy Meets World alumni to their set recently to film a very special episode.

In 2012 Disney set plans in motion for a Boy Meets World spin-off called Girl Meets World. Filming for the series didn’t start until March 2013, but since then, the cast and crew have worked nearly non-stop to complete the first season.

Girl Meets World follows Cory Matthews (Ben Savage) and Topanga Lawrence-Matthews (Danielle Fishel) as they raise their children Riley (Rowan Blanchard) and Auggie (August Maturo). The series is sure to be filled with touching moments, life lessons, crazy dancing, and wacky mischief.

Disney and Girl Meets World’s production team have tried to keep as many details about the upcoming series top secret. However, fans of Boy Meets World know to expect a few familiar faces. Rider Strong will make a couple appearances, and so will Mr. Feeny himself, William Daniels. Recently, it was also announced that Lee Norris will return as Stuart Minkus. Now Boy Meets World fans can get gleeful once more, because the Matthews, Cory’s parents, are making their return as well.

The official Disney PR page released some pictures of an upcoming episode. On the holiday special one, Strong once again will appear as Shawn Hunter, and Betsy Randle and William Russ will reprise their roles as Amy and Alan Matthews. In the picture, the Matthews are joined by Shawn around the dinner table.

Recently, even before the series set a premiere date, Disney ordered a full 21 episode season. Girl Meets World should premiere sometime later this year; possibly around October or November, which is just in time for the fall TV season.
