Anna Kournikova and Enrique Iglesias have been together for over 12 years, but Enrigue’s father Julio Iglesias says that he has never met Anna and doesn’t see his son as often as he would like.

You know I have to tell the truth, I have never met Anna,” the 70-year-old Julio said in an interview. “Yes, my wife and my kids and his brothers have, but I have never met her, no, no, never.”

“My kids are very independent and it is difficult to see Enrique because he is all over the world,” Julio continued. “But Anna is very beautiful — they have good taste, my kids.”

Anna and Enrique met on the set of the music video for “Escape.” Although both of them knew who the other was, they had never met before. Sparks began to fly on the set and the two soon realized that they had something special and began dating a short time later.

“Never in a million years did I think that I would be making a video with her and that we would start up a relationship,” said about their relationship.

Many people have wondered why Enrique and Anna have not settled down or had children yet but Enrique claims that he wants to wait until he is done with his career or at least ready to slow down with it. He said that he did not want to be gone for months at a time and not get to see his children and although he does want to be a father someday, he wants to wait until he is ready.

Julio said that although his son is busy and doesn’t visit often, he is still very proud of him and knows that he will make a great father someday.

Hopefully Julio and Anna will get a chance to meet soon or at least before Enrique and Anna decide to have a child.
