Adam Levine, the Maroon 5 frontman and fan-favorite judge on NBC’s The Voice, who recently just launched a women’s clothing line, is set to take on another new challenge: acting. Levine will star opposite Keira Knightley for Begin Again, out in theaters in August. The two stars both had to leave their comfort zone for filming, with Adam having to act and Keira having to sing (talk about role reversal!)
“I kept telling Keira she was great and she wouldn’t believe me, and she told me that I wasn’t bad at acting either but I didn’t believe her, so it was perfect,” Levine said at the Tribeca Film Festival, where Begin Again closed out the weekend’s festivities. “My experience was so much fun,” Adam added. “It made me kind of start to like [acting] a little bit, but I don’t know. I don’t think you can really make those bold declarations, but we’ll see.”
Keira added that Adam is a “natural entertainer” and “sensational” in the movie. Begin Again is directed by John Carney, who directed the successful musical film Once.
Even though the chemistry onscreen may be brewing between Keira and Adam, Adam only has eyes for one woman: his stunning Victoria’s Secret model fiancé, Behati Prinsloo, who posed on the red carpet with Adam during the film festival. The couple have been in the public eye more since Adam announced their engagement last summer. “She makes me the best person I can be,” Adam says about Behati during the festival. “She’s the best in the world.”
Seems Adam has been bitten by the acting bug – what does that mean for his future on The Voice? With the line-up of judges changing so frequently (Gwen Stefani is taking over for Christina and Pharell for CeeLo), is Adam the next to take a step back? When asked about it, Adam only coyly says, “I’ve got to check my schedule.”
Just thinking I don't want the Voice to go on without @adamlevine I don't want to see anyone else in that chair

We hope Adam stays on, because who would argue with Blake Shelton and fight so vehemently for contestants to join his team? It’s no surprise that Adam adds real entertainment value to any project he’s attached to, and on The Voice or not, we’ll follow his career wherever it goes.
