Miley Cyrus is making headlines yet again.

However, this time it nothing to do with any of the jaw-dropping, outrageous moments that have been recounted from the “Wrecking Ball” singer’s Bangerz Tour.

Her recent hospitalization is the center of controversy this time around. Rumors have been circulating about why Cyrus’ hospitalization occurred. Several media outlets have reported that her two-week stay in the hospital was directly related to an alleged drug overdose.

However, the 21-year-old singer-actress says otherwise. As a matter of fact, she has taken the time to refute the drug rumors and clear the air about her brief medical crisis. According to NewsBeat UK, the Bangerz singer suffered from an allergic reaction to an antibiotic she was taking for a sinus infection.

“I didn’t have a drugs overdose. I took some antibiotics that a doctor gave me for a sinus infection,” she said. “I’ve been laying in a hospital bed connected to IVs. I’m on a bunch of good vitamins and doing lots of yoga trying to get myself back together.”

Due to her illness, she was forced to cancel shows in Amsterdam and Antwerp. However, the allergic reaction wasn’t the only contributing factor to her ailing health. She revealed that she’d been lamenting the loss of a loved one. The “We Can’t Stop” singer also added that the media-embellished drug rumors didn’t help her situation either, but she refuses to let it get her down.

“My immune system was already low because I had a death in my family and was already down,” Cyrus added. What doesn’t make it better is that people were online saying I’d done it with drugs but it’s all good. I’m okay and I’m here.”

However, the former Hannah Montana star did quip about one “miserable” thing that was about to make her “explode” – being bed ridden. “I’m like a star ready to explode. I’m going to go off. I’ve just been watching movies and reading,” she said.

Luckily, Cyrus has bounced back and the wrecking ball is rolling again! On May 10, the Bangerz Tour will invade the First Direct Arena in Leeds, England.
