Yahoo has acquired Blink, one of those “self-destructing chat” apps.
The app, however, is going away, as Yahoo takes the talent behind it.
We're excited to announce that Blink is now part of Yahoo! Thanks to all of our users. http://t.co/dU3lOqJRXI

A post on the Blink blog says:
We’re excited to announce that as of May 13, 2014 Blink is joining Yahoo! We built Blink because we believe everyone should be free to show the same honesty and spontaneity in their online conversations as they can in person. We look forward to the possibilities that will come from bringing the Blink vision to Yahoo.
What does this mean for you as a Blink user?
In the next few weeks, we will be shutting down Blink for both Android and iOS. If you have any questions or concerns, you can email us at [email protected] and we will personally reply to you.
We can’t begin to express how grateful we are for your support throughout this journey. We hope you stick with us through the next chapter.
According to TechCrunch, which confirmed the news with Yahoo, all of Blink’s team members, including founders, will be joining Yahoo. There are seven of them in all.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
