Jennifer Aniston’s hair is one of her most attractive traits. Over the years, her long beautiful tresses have become one of her signature trademarks. However, during an interview with ABC News, the famed Friends actress revealed that it hasn’t always been that way.

“It’s funny and entertaining in a way and it’s of course very flattering to say the least,” she said of the compliments she gets for her hair. “But I always have such a chuckle when I hear people saying I have great hair because as a kid it was always a challenge.”

Although her hair is stunningly beautiful, the 45-year-old actress said she prefers a more “a low-maintenance approach,” to caring for it. The Marley & Me actress shared her daily hair habits, explaining that she washes it every other day, and at the very least, three times a week. Aniston also revealed that she relies heavily upon the Living Proof hair products. However, that comes as no surprise since she’s a spokesperson for the hair care line!

“I don’t get a lot of product build-up with Living Proof and my hair doesn’t get dirty straight away,” she said. “I wash my hair with No Frizz Shampoo and Conditioner. And with PHD Styling Treatment I can air-dry and style my hair in 10 minutes, when it used to take 25 minutes.”

While most people would probably associate Aniston’s “low-maintenance approach” with cost-efficiency, she actually revealed that she splurges on the trips to her hairstylist and best friend Chris McMillan. For those who don’t know, McMillan is famous for Aniston’s famed hairstyle on Friends, which affectionately became known as “The Rachel.” Although the famous hairstyle was stunning, she revealed that its upkeep was quite daunting.
“The ‘Rachel’ was one of the hardest hairstyles to maintain. Me and the blow dryer and the hairbrush weren’t meant for each other,” Aniston admitted. “It really was a ‘hairdo’. When Chris would style it my hair would be great, it would look gorgeous. But then when I was left to my own devices, it wouldn’t look the same!”
