If you lived your youth–let’s say high school and college–before the age of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, WhatsApp, and the like, there’s a pretty good chance that you’re going to get away with all of the dumb things you did. No, your friends will never forget the time you took twelve shots of tekiki, took off all your clothes, hopped on the coin-operated unicorn “ride” at your local grocery, and passed out in a pool of your own vomit and spilled Dairy Queen Blizzard. No, they’ll never forget that. But at least there’s probably not a picture of the final product on the internet somewhere.

Now there is. There most certainly is. You know why? Because everything you’ve ever done is now online.

Case in point: Humanity, as a collective group of idiots, is now sharing more than 1.8 billion photos a day–and that’s just on Facebook, Snapchat, Instagram, and WhatsApp. This doesn’t even include Twitter.

A day.

Here’s a chart from Kleiner Perkins partner Mary Meeker’s “State of the Internet” report, just released today. Just look at it.

Holy shit.
