A romantic dinner date or just two co-stars sharing a meal together?

Rachel McAdams and Jake Gyllenhaal were spotted out together having dinner a few days ago at a restaurant called Meat and Potatoes in Pittsburgh. However, before rumors spread like wildfire about a budding romance, it’s important to note that the two are currently in production in the Steel City on a movie called Southpaw.

A source confirmed to E! News that the handsome pair enjoyed their meals and finished their plates. And, yet another source told the entertainment network that they’re just pals.

Here’s a look:

McAdams is usually in the gossip news because the entire world seems to want her to get back together with ex-boyfriend Ryan Gosling. The couple won the hearts of movie fans with the sentimental chick flick The Notebook in 2004, but they haven’t actually been an item for almost four years. The rumors of their romantic reunion run rampant despite the fact that Gosling has been dating actress Eva Mendes for nearly three years.

According to imdb.com, the tagline for the film Southpaw is: “A boxer fights his way to the top, only to find his life falling apart around him.” Antoine Fuqua (Training Day) is directing the drama. Oscar winners Lupita Nyong’o and Forest Whitaker are also in the film.

McAdams currently has several films in post production that should be released within the next year. One of the films is Cameron Crowe’s latest romantic comedy which is currently just being called, Untitled Cameron Crowe Project. The movie also stars Bradley Cooper and Emma Stone. The film has a December 25, 2014 release date.
