Chris Rock doesn’t discriminate when it comes to his jokes. The comedian hosted the BET Awards on Sunday, June 29 and had a joke about everyone, including Donald Sterling.
“First of all, a black man couldn’t look him in the eye ’till he was 45,” he joked. “The first black man he ever met, he got for Christmas. And don’t make me defend Donald Sterling. What exactly did he say? What exactly did Donald Sterling say: ‘I don’t want my woman around black basketball players.’ Me neither! Are you kidding me? Who the hell wants their woman around black basketball players? And I’m specific to black ball players. I don’t care if my woman was with JJ Redick, Mike Dunleavy, David Lee, but if I see you with Serge Ibaka, we gotta talk.”
The crowd responded to his jokes with laughter and he went on to talk about the recent elevator fight between Solange Knowles and her sister’s husband, Jay Z.
“What happened in music this year?” Rock asked. “Well, Solange had a fight with Jay Z in the elevator. That’s what happened this year.”
“You know what, Solange hit the right rapper,” the comedian continued. “She did, she hit the right rapper. Everybody is like, ‘I can’t believe Jay didn’t smack her!’ Well, Jay is a businessman now, he can’t just go punching girls in the face. He got a meeting with Nabisco in the morning!”
