Yahoo announced the launch of new Yahoo and Yahoo Mail iPad apps.

The new Yahoo app has what the company refers to as “the best of Yahoo Digital Magazines” and “the very best of the web”. It’s all personalized, of course.

It includes stories from Yahoo Food, Yahoo Tech ,Yahoo Travel, Yahoo Movies, and Yahoo Beauty.

“Yahoo Digital Magazines are just like your favorite glossy magazines re-imagined for the digital world. Inspired by visually driven storytelling and distinctive editorial voices from well-known tastemakers such as Julia Bainbridge, Paula Froelich, David Pogue, Josh Wolk and Bobbi Brown, these magazines offer a new way to experience digital content,” says Fernando Delgado, Senior Director of Product Management, Mobile and Emerging Products at Yahoo. “We’ve also added snapshots of local weather, stocks, sports, popular photos, videos and more, ensuring you have all the information you care about at your fingertip.”

“As usual, for an experience that is personalized just for you, we encourage you to log into Yahoo,” he adds. “Read the topics you’re most interested in, and we will continue to surface stories based on your preferences.”

The new Yahoo Mail app continues in the company’s apparently never-ending “re-imaginings” for the service. It brings the changes Yahoo Mail has received on mobile over the last couple of months to Apple’s tablet. This includes access to personalized news and info like weather, finance, sports, and videos.

It also includes some of that Yahoo Digital Magazine content from Yahoo Food, Yahoo Beauty, Yahoo Movies, Yahoo Tech and Yahoo Travel. This can all be accessed from the side panel.

Both apps are now available in the App Store.
