Reese Witherspoon and her husband, Jim Toth, have just bought a historic home in Nashville, and while it’s being called a “fixer-upper”, it’s in a lovely neighborhood: right near the Governor.

The home was bought last year by Lee Beaman and his wife, Kelley Beaman, and together the couple renovated portions of the interior. They knew they didn’t want it to be torn down and replaced, so after putting a deed restriction on it, they placed it for sale.

“It just seemed a shame that so many of these nice homes are being torn down. They felt like they would like to save the house,” agent Hal Rosson said.

Witherspoon bought the 4 bedroom, 3.5 bath dwelling for $1.95 million but will face quite a few repairs outside of the newly refinished hardwood floors and renovated kitchen area.

The actress has three films scheduled for release this year, including Wild and Inherent Vice, and another two in the works for next year, so she’ll have a lot on her plate with the new home.

Witherspoon is taking a break with her family this month, vacationing at the beach, and has posted several photos on Instagram to make us all jealous.
