“Don’t push me cause I’m close to the edge, I’m tryin not to lose my head” – Grandma Rose.
If your grandmother is on Facebook, there’s already a pretty good chance you’ve had a laugh or two at her expense. I know you love your nana, but old people and technology – it’s an inherently comical pairing.
Now, however, Grandmas all over the country are doing something that goes above and beyond the normal hilarity. Apparently, Grandmas everywhere are at constant risk of accidentally tagging pioneering hip-hop artist and DJ Grandmaster Flash in their posts.
There’s a Tumblr called Love, Grampa and Grandmaster Flash that showcases this phenomenon – and it’s happening at an alarmingly cute rate.
Why is this happening? It’s simple – Facebook’s auto-tagging feature.
Turns out, when you type the word “Grandma” in a post, Facebook suggests you tag Grandmaster Flash. I tried it, and sure enough…
Things could be worse, I guess. Your Grandma could mistake Facebook for Google and upload a pretty weird status about “Is Obama a Muslim?”
