Uma Thurman and her ex-fiance, Arpad Busson, are reportedly working out a custody agreement for their 2-year old daughter Rosalind after splitting in April.
The couple began dating in 2007 but called off their engagement in the spring, and rumors began to circulate that Thurman was involved with friend and Pulp Fiction director Quentin Tarantino. Busson has not commented on the rumors that he is suing for custody rights, but Thurman issued a statement this week through her reps.
“It is unfortunate that this very private discussion regarding Mr. Busson’s visitation rights and his participation in decision making has been made public. However, we are optimistic that a fair agreement for both sides will be reached out of court,” the statement read.
Rumors that the actress and Tarantino are in a relationship have been circulating off and on for years now after the pair worked together on Kill Bill, but she laughed them off earlier this year in an interview with Vs. Magazine, saying the two of them thought it was funny.
“I was discussing [the rumors] with Mr. Tarantino last night. He was angry at me for not calling him back, because as he said, ‘According to the papers we are practically married!’ and he laughed hysterically. So our relationship is pretty much what it’s always been. People are just having fun with it,” she said.
This week marks the 20-year anniversary of Pulp Fiction, one of Tarantino’s most popular films.
