Brooklyn Beckham has some very big shoes to fill when it comes to playing soccer; after all, his dad, David, is a six-time English Premier League title winner and is often the first person we Americans think of when the game comes to mind. However, he needn’t be worried. The 15-year old has just reportedly signed on with Arsenal in a short-term contract, despite being eyed by several different teams.
“Brooklyn is talented and he has stood out in all of the training sessions and games he has played. He has had other teams sniffing around and it was always going to be a case of when, not if, he was signed up by a big-name club. Arsenal realize he can be a huge talent. They have seen that potential and protected their asset,” a source told the Daily Star.
The famous teen was reportedly of great interest to teams such as his dad’s former team–Manchester United–and Chelsea and played in trials with Chelsea, United, Queens Park Rangers and Fulham.
Though nothing has been confirmed as yet, several media outlets are reporting that Beckham will officially sign on with the team in March, when he turns 16. Although some fans are excited about the news, others have mixed feelings about it and took to Twitter to share.

Brooklyn Beckham signed a deal to play professional soccer. Who do I talk to about passing the bar without having to go to law school?

When I see Brooklyn Beckham make his league cup debut for Arsenal, I will then accept that I'm old.
