The holidays will be here before you know it and if you like to entertain family members and guests in your home, you might be scrambling to come up with some last minute ideas for holiday centerpieces.

Sure you could run out to the store and buy a few, but store-bought centerpieces are expensive and can be boring.

You can make your own holiday centerpieces for a fraction of the cost.

Thanksgiving Centerpiece
Everyone gathered around your table for Thanksgiving will appreciate a nice centerpiece, and you can make an adorable one quickly and easily. Find a large pumpkin, real or artificial, and paint it white. Cut a small hole in the top of the pumpkin, where the stem would be, and add a candlestick. Surround the candlestick and the bottom of the pumpkin with fall flowers and leaves and you have a beautiful, homemade Thanksgiving centerpiece.

Christmas Centerpiece
Looking for something festive to spruce up your table for Christmas? Try filling a small box or a charger plate with candles and surround those candles with holly, pinecones and bulbs. Light the candles to set the mood for a comfortable and relaxed Christmas dinner.

New Years Centerpiece
What better way to bring in the new year than with a table full of food and a beautiful centerpiece. Before you put away your Christmas bulbs, choose a few silver, gold and black bulbs and purchase some beaded necklaces from a store. Place a large candle on a charger plate and add the bulbs and necklaces.

Don’t shell out a bunch of money for centerpieces. Make your own and show them off at your holiday dinners and parties this year.
