Gigi Hadid and Cody Simpson are officially back together.

The young couple split earlier this year, but they have decided to give it another shot, according to HollywoodLife.com .

“I am back with Cody, he is a great guy,” Hadid told the website exclusively. “I think the first time we were together, our schedules got in the way, but now we are taking the time to be together and make it work.”

The couple decided to end their relationship earlier this summer, due in part to their hectic schedules. While Cody was the one to call it quits, Gigi said at the time that she still loved him.

“He needed his time to focus on his music. He’s the one who broke up with me,” she told Women’s Wear Daily. “We’re still best friends and I’ll always respect him and support his career. I love Cody to death and he loves me.”

“They decided that rather than let things sour that they split up in hopes that their lives might someday bring them back together,” Cody’s spokesperson said at the time. “They remain close friends and will continue to show their support for one and other.”

The couple was most recently spotted together at Friday’s Just Jared Homecoming Dance that was presented by Ever After High. According to an eyewitness, they “looked like a giddy young couple and left together holding hands at 2 a.m.”
