Twitter’s Vine announced the addition of a new favoriting feature, which allows you to select your favorite accounts, so you won’t miss Vines from them.
You’ll see a little star icon in the top right corner of users’ profiles, which you simply tap to add them to your favorites.
When you favorite an account, you’ll get push notifications from the Vine app as well as a notification in your Activity feed every time they post a new Vine. You can also view all your favorites or update your notifications via the settings.
“We’ve been testing this feature at Vine, and it’s really helped us keep up with the people and Vines we care about most,” wrote Vine engineer Felix Fung in a blog post. “We hope you like it too!”
Vine has been getting quite a few helpful additions lately. The iOS app recently got channel following, and it started enabling users to create Vines out of existing videos, as opposed to having to start from scratch.
Meanwhile, the app is starting to get more credit for being a tool for journalism, as opposed to just a way to watch short, funny videos.
