Paul Walker: Legacy Kept Intact By Brother Cody A Year After His Death

It’s been almost a year since actor Paul Walker died in a car accident, but his brother Cody is determined to keep the actor’s legacy intact. Cody has taken Reach Out Worldwide (ROWW) under his wing, pretty much taking over to keep it active. ROWW is a charity that Paul held dear until the time of the fatal crash, which happened near a ROWW event that Paul was participating in.

In an interview with E! News, Cody says, “ROWW continues to be, to function, to help others even after our primary contributor, my brother, Paul Walker has passed. I know he would be so stoked to know that. ROWW changed his life, and he was so proud of it.” Even after Paul’s death, Cody and ROWW have never stopped helping people. They have organized toy drives for the holidays and stuffed backpacks for less fortunate students. The ROWW also helped Mayflower, Arkansas after a tornado, and they even flew to the Philippines to offer aid after the destruction caused by Typhoon Haiyan.

“These missions are truly life changing for all involved,” Cody told E! News “I’m so proud to be a part of this.” Cody also reflected on the life lessons he learned from Paul throughout his life. “Just live your life to the fullest. Laugh a lot, love and find your true happiness,” he began. “Remember that no matter how cool you think you may be, you’re not cool enough to look down on anyone…ever.” Cody also said about Paul, “I am so lucky to have had him as a big brother.”

Paul Walker passed away while he was in the midst of shooting the seventh film in the Fast and The Furious franchise. After his death, his brothers Cody and Caleb stepped in to fill in for their brother for some scenes that were needed to finish the film.
