Kanye West headlined a surprise concert at the heart of New York to mark the World AIDS day. West performed along with other big-name stars like U2, Bruce Springsteen, and Carrie Underwood at the (RED) charity event that was streamed live all over YouTube.
Fans present at Times Square cheered as U2’s Adam Clayton and Larry Mullen, Jr. introduced “ one of the most groundbreaking artist in music today.” West shook the entire stage as he performed his hits from his latest album, Yeezus.
The famous rapper emerged on stage performing “Power” to thunderous cheers from the crowd. The producers of the show had a little trouble with West not holding back as some of the expletives in the songs “Jesus Walks” and “Black Skinhead” got through the censors. The audience was amped with West’s performance of “Stronger” and the musician dramatically collapsed on the stage as the fans’ screams echoed throughout the venue.
