Celebrities have a lot to lose by being in the spotlight all the time and Kanye West is well aware of this. According to Kanye’s step-brother Hal Carmichael, Kanye’s biggest fear is that his wife Kim and daughter North will be kidnapped.

Unfortunately for them, Kanye feels that the best way to protect them is to control them. Hal recently talked to Heat Magazine about Kanye and his family and how he works so hard to protect them.

“Kanye constantly worries about Kim and North because he knows the kidnap risk is high. Because of the lifestyle they lead, he has to think about it carefully nowadays. Kanye controls Kim, like where she travels and what she does, to protect her. He thinks the more the public see of them, the more at risk they are,” Hal said.

Hal went on to say that Kanye knows that he can’t be with Kim and North all the time and that Kim’s job requires her to travel and be around a lot of different people. Still, Kanye tries his best to control them to the best of his abilities and to know where they are and who they are with at all times.

“Kim being on television is a compromise, but Kanye knows that’s her career and he’ll support her. Kanye keeps his inner circle tight – with North she’ll only be looked after by her grandmother Kris [Jenner] or her aunties.They have a nanny as well, but North is kept around family. Kanye does this to protect her,” Hal added.

Even when Kanye is with his family and knows they are in safe hands, he still wants the upmost protection for them and always has two securities guards with them at all times.

“They always have two security guards with them. Even when he went to our sister’s last month, he took them with him and they drive around in armoured cars,” Hal shared.
