Yahoo just announced its first developer conference, which will take place on February 19 in San Francisco. Unsurprisingly, like the company itself, the conference will focus on mobile. It’s actually called the Yahoo Mobile Developer Conference.

“Yahoo is renewing its focus on mobile app developers with this one-day event that will provide them with insights, guidance and solutions to navigate today’s crowded app market,” a spokesperson for the company tells WebProNews. “At the conference, Yahoo will announce and demo a new suite of products to help developers better understand their users and improve, grow and monetize their apps.”

Simon Khalaf, VP of Flurry products, will be the featured speaker, and will give a “State of Mobile” address. The event will also include breakout sessions on different topics and products for developers.

Yahoo completed its acquisition of Flurry, a mobile analytics provider, in August.

“Today, Americans spend more time on their smartphones than watching TV – making the mobile experience, and the job of mobile developers, more important than ever,” Yahoo says in a blog post. “Join us as we announce a suite of tools that will help mobile developers better understand their users and improve, grow and monetize their apps.”
