Carrie Fisher will be on hand to present her mother, Debbie Reynolds, with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Screen Actors Guild Awards on Jan. 25.

The film, stage, and television actress has enjoyed a career spanning more than 60 years, which included stints on Broadway and in the classic film Singin’ In The Rain. The award celebrates her extensive body of work and humanitarian efforts, and she is certainly in good company; previous recipients include Dick Van Dyke, Mary Tyler Moore, Ernest Borgnine, Betty White, and James Earl Jones.

Fisher famously wrote a best-selling book–Postcards From The Edge–about the relationship between an actress and her Hollywood royalty mother, which many took to be the true story of Fisher’s life. However, Fisher said in 2012 that the book wasn’t meant to convey her personal relationships.

“The book has nothing to do with my mother and I. It mostly followed stories of drug addiction told by different people, so the movie of it had to completely change. I had to look for things in my life that would make good dramatic scenes, good performance pieces and embellish on that,” she said.

The awards show is televised and will air on Jan. 25 on TNT and TBS at 5 p.m.
