Jennifer Aniston opened up recently about someone she says was ‘her first love.’ Sadly, that person–who has thus far remained unnamed–is dead.
“He was my first love–five years we were together,” she said about her deceased ex. “He would have been the one. But I was 25, and I was stupid. He must have sent me Justin to make up for it all.”
Aniston shared during a recent interview with the New York Times, that this former love later died from a brain tumor.
The Justin that Aniston refers to is, of course, her fiance Justin Theroux. The two have been engaged since 2012, and despite constant rumors, have made no plans thus far for a wedding.

Jennifer Aniston has tried her hand at something brand new with regard to her acting career. The role she plays in Cake is unlike anything the former Friends star has done in her entire career. For the film about a chronic pain sufferer, the beautiful actress underwent a severe make-under, adding some weight and completely skipping makeup to play the struggling woman.
Aniston believes that this role will truly allow her to “take away the cloak of Rachel.” Rachel is, of course, the name of the character she played on Friends.
Is it possible that the preparation required to play this emotional role evoked memories of Jennifer Aniston’s lost love? This appears to be the first time word of this relationship has been shared with the media.
Do you expect this reminiscence of Jennifer Aniston’s first love will cause Justin Theroux to feel at all like he’s living in the shadow of a dead man? Will Jen and Justin ever tie the knot?
