It has been reported that Kate Gosselin was dating millionaire Jeff Prescott. However, Kate recently quashed the rumors during an appearance at the Television Critics Associate panel on Friday, January 16. The reality TV star who was there to promote Celebrity Apprentice, said, “I would love to date, but I don’t have time to date. I don’t know that I really have time to think about [what I want in a man].”

Kate Gosselin added, “Our obvious issue [is] we’re a family people have heard of. It’s that publicity piece. There’s eight kids [and] it’s really loud and stressful in my house. I mean, anybody that can kind of work through all that, you know, that’s a lot of gates there they gotta get through.”

It’s been more than five years since Kate divorced Jon Gosselin, and the Kate Plus 8 star revealed that her children are already urging her to go out and date. Kate Gosselin tells PEOPLE, “My kids say it constantly. Leah says, ‘We need someone besides you to look up to.’ They long for it.”

Kate Gosselin added that she’s still open to the idea, despite the fact that she’s busy and that her household is as crazy as it seems. As for her dream man, Kate says, “Somebody who is highly motivated and loves a huge challenge and has tons of energy. This person would have to be not just willing, but excited at the prospect of eight kids and all the craziness.”

The reality star adds, “At this point I wonder, is there someone who can pop in and take up our crazy situation and enjoy it and would be good for us?”

Kate thinks that the speculation on her dating life is getting out of hand. However, she assured the press that if ever she starts dating anyone worth mentioning, she’ll be the first one to talk about it.
