Paulina Gretzky gave birth to her first child with her fiance, professional golfer Dustin Johnson, on Monday.
The daughter of hockey legend Wayne Gretzky was ecstatic when she announced back in September that she was expecting.
Paulina Gretzky posted a pic of herself and her growing bump (and an amazing pool) to Instagram with text that read, “@djohnsonpga & i are so excited to finally share with you all our amazing news..we’re having a baby!!”
Monday’s new arrival of Paulina Gretzky’s son makes Mr. Wayne Gretzky a grandpa! Or papa, or pop-pop, or whatever he will be called.
Paulina Gretzky and Dustin Johnson said in a statement on Tuesday, “Paulina and I are happy to announce the arrival of our baby boy, who was born in Los Angeles on Monday morning.”
It continued, “Both Paulina and the baby are healthy, resting comfortably and in great spirits! We sincerely appreciate the outpouring of love and support we have received and plan to release further details in the coming days!”
Perhaps fatherhood is just what Dustin Johnson needs to continue his quest to straighten out his life. He took a leave of absence from golf in July to “seek professional help for personal challenges.”
It was rumored that cocaine was the cause of Paulina Gretzky’s fiance’s personal challenges. However, those rumors were not confirmed.
Congratulations to Paulina Gretzky and Dustin Johnson! Do you think having a family now will affect Dustin Johnson in a positive way?
I sure hope so.
