Poppy Montgomery has experienced the cancellation of her mystery drama, Unforgettable, not just once–but twice. Now it’s been rescued by A&E, and a fourth season of 13 new episodes will soon be back on TV.
Montgomery plays the role of former detective Carrie Wells. Wells has a rare condition that won’t allow her to forget anything she’s ever seen or heard. When Wells is brought in to help work a case run by her ex-boyfriend, Detective Al Burns (played by Dylan Walsh, who will also be returning for the fourth season), she is reinstated as a detective and becomes part of his team.
Poppy Montgomery first heard her show had been cancelled by CBS back in 2012. When producers considered selling it to a cable network, CBS scooped it back up again, with 13 episodes that ran during the summer of 2013. Although it returned again for the summer of 2014, CBS cancelled it one more time, in favor of shows like Under the Dome and Extant.
Prior to her work on Unforgettable, Poppy Montgomery starred in a popular CBS mystery drama. She played FBI agent Samantha Spade on Without A Trace, which aired from 2002 to 2009.
